ProActive PCR enables post-consumer recycled content (PCR) to be included in various laminated and mono-material constructions in rollstock and pre-made pouches and bags. ProActive PCR furthers corporate sustainability objectives by reducing virgin material use and supports the circular economy.
ProActive PCR Retort pouches are a sustainable alternative to conventional retort options. These pouches contain up to 30% Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) content by mass, reducing the use of virgin plastics. They also support the circular economy and are compliant with UK Plastics Packaging Tax (PPT). ProActive PCR Retort pouches provide the same filling efficiencies, shelf-life, and mechanical performance as standard retort pouches.
Our recloseable retort pouch features rotogravure-printed graphics and linear tear technology for straight and easy opening. We developed a unique zipper that withstands the stresses of the retort process and allows unused portions to be conveniently stored. Our retort pouch packaging is less than three percent of the weight of breakable glass, tremendously improving the product-to-package ratio and reducing the cost of shipping. Inverted pouches have grown in many food applications, specifically for spreads that have moved into flexible packaging. The combination of reduced shipping cost and container weight as well as the consumer's ability to be able to ensure all the product can be squeezed out with ease makes this format ideal for many applications.
ProAmpac's Compressed Bale Packaging offers a high-performance solution for various applications, including soil blends, peat moss, and wood shavings. The film blend forms a robust seal on the exterior, effectively guarding against gusset-seal point failures and eliminating the need for skip treatment. The lower seal initiation temperature also reduces heat requirements during the packaging process to improve operational steps overall.

ProActive Recyclable R-2000D Series
R-2000D is a patent-pending polyethylene-based structure designed to replace conventional multi-material laminates. Available in standard, high barrier and ultra-high-barrier R-2000D extends the shelf-life of dry products. Both standard and high-barrier platforms have been tested and pre-qualified for polyethylene store-drop-off recycling.
R-2000D offers oustanding clarity, high drop resistance, excellent stiffness and dimpling resistance for a premium shelf appearance. It provides clean directional tear without the need for laser scoring. The R-2050D variant is available in both North America and Europe.
R-2100 offers the same great features of R-2000D with the addition of improved puncture resistance for treats or other products with harder edges.
