ProAmpac Wins American Inhouse Design Award from Graphic Design USA

CINCINNATI (Sept. 15, 2020) – Flexible packaging leader ProAmpac celebrated  acceptance of their 2020 American Inhouse Design Awards™ which the company received on September 8, 2020. The award recognized the new ProActive Recyclable retail shopping bag (pictured) which was designed in the companies Design and Sample Lab (DASL) located at its headquarters in Cincinnati, OH.

Graphic Design USA (GDUSA), a magazine and information resource for graphic design professionals, hosted the 57th American Inhouse Design Awards™. According to their website, the awards, “are the original and premier showcase for outstanding work by inhouse creative professionals. This year’s gallery reflects the many and varied ways inhouse creatives advance the mission and build value.”

ProAmpac’s award winning design utilized the companies four-step creative process – ideate, illustrate, render and prototype – to facilitate new package development in an organized and rapid fashion. The process led to a series of recycling graphics and messages on paper bags designed  to encourage area residents to increase at-home recycling. The bag was introduced last year during Earth Day Over the Rhine, a Cincinnati, Ohio event held in conjunction with the “Keep Cincinnati Beautiful” campaign in which ProAmpac donated over 1,000 units that were given away to attendees of the event. The convenient ProActive Recyclable paper handled bag was designed with graphics meant to keep the recycling message forefront.
