The California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 is designed to increase the amount of information made available by manufacturers and retailers regarding their efforts to address the issue of slavery and human trafficking, thereby allowing consumers to make better, more informed choices regarding the products they buy and the companies they choose to support.

Certification:

ProAmpac prohibits the use of human trafficking, slavery or involuntary labor of any kind, including child labor and indentured labor within its supply chain. Upon request, suppliers are expected to certify their compliance to all applicable laws concerning age requirements, child labor, working conditions, hours worked and wages earned. Working conditions must comply with all applicable laws regarding safe, healthy and clean worksite conditions.

Verification and Audit

Suppliers are requested to maintain written records evidencing compliance with these standards and must make those records available to ProAmpac upon request. ProAmpac reserves the right to conduct random audits to monitor compliance. ProAmpac does not utilize a third-party vendor to conduct audits.

Training

ProAmpac employees who have direct responsibility for supply chain management are required to review the Code of Conduct on an annual basis, including updates and discussions of child labor laws, human trafficking, and forced labor.

Enforcement

Employees who fail to abide by the ProAmpac Code of Conduct or Supplier Code of Conduct will be subject to disciplinary action, which may include termination. ProAmpac may terminate its relationship with any supplier that is not in compliance with the Supplier Code of Conduct.
